'Wow' - The Dracula Society: http://www.thedraculasociety.org.uk (follow 'links', then 'other gothic sites'... then all will be revealed...). Many thanks to Blackie.

'Richard Wileman, is one of the best progressive, contemporary classical music composers to grace the planet today.' Jem Jedrzejewski

'This is 'Dracula' as a completely emotional experience without dialogue or sight, the whole vigorous concoction distilled as a potent concentrate.'

'This a remarkable work.' Chris White HAIRLESS HEART HERALD

'Mr. Richard Wileman (and of course the ladies in the group) have outdone themselves in their latest effort for Cyclops Records. Hauntingly beautiful and enthralling, Karda Estra's Voivode Dracula will garner your rapt attention'. Kenny Solomon, Progressive Soundscapes.

'....each track is a lengthy tone poem to seductive evil.

'It seems that every album Karda Estra issue is their best to date and this is no different. Richard Wileman and his regular colleagues quietly go about producing some of the most sublime music that should be heard by a much wider audience, but isn't. Now that is a national evil!' John M Peters - THE BORDERLAND

'In summary, Voivode Dracula does not disappoint, and with it Wileman and colleagues are continuing to build an impressive body of work that will be remembered and enjoyed in the years to come.' Joe McGlinchey - GROUND & SKY

Richard Wileman has taken his always-rewarding Karda Estra project far far deeper in to classical territory now. Up until this point it’s been rather lusciously dark, almost gothic orchestral flavoured progressive rock, now it’s far deeper in to dark dark pure classical beauty. I almost don’t want to tell you that this is an album inspired by the Bram Stoker novel Dracula - the very idea will have you thinking in clichés when, despite the angelic choral gothicness, you really shouldn’t. Every one of the Karda Estra albums (and I think I’m correct when I say this is the eighth) has been a work of glowing beauty, we said last year’s Constellations album was the finest yet - Voivode Dracula is equally as fine. Warm glowing refined relaxing soothing dark angelic classical gothic beauty. Highly recommended yet again.

EXPOSE No 30 - '...a unique chamber music which blends seamlessly electronics with the acoustic orchestral instruments, into a color-filled portrait, rich in dramatic flair and cinematic mood. ... There is nobody else in the prog field I can think of competing with Karda Estra, whose singular accomplishments deserve much wider support and recognition.

DPRP - gave Voivode Dracula a 'DPRP Recommended' -

'Thematically Voivode Dracula harks back to Karda Estra’s earlier Eve release. Whilst that album took as its source material a Frankenstein-influenced tale, here (somewhat unsurprisingly given the album title!) it’s the legend of Dracula that provides the inspiration for a dark and haunting work which sees Wileman utilising essentially the same tools as on his previous effort, but creating a vastly different mood. Whereas Constellations was instantly accessible and a relaxing late night listen perfect to unwind to at the end of a tiring day, Voivode Dracula, whilst equally evocative and atmospheric, is a far more unsettling piece of music that takes a number of listens to fully appreciate.'

FEEDBACK - 'a towering piece of music.'

ARLEQUINS - 'Un disco stupendo.'
